Founders of the Delta Yamma Fundraising
Welcome to the Beta Nu chapter of Delta Gamma at Carnegie Mellon University!
Our chapter has been a strong presence on our campus for over 70 years, and is made up of a group of incredibly strong, passionate, and authentic women.
The Beta Nu Chapter has had a profound impact on the Panhellenic, Greek, CMU and Pittsburgh communities. Our chapter participates annually in Booth, one of CMU’s Spring Carnival traditions where we build a small, fun-looking two story house, and Greek Sing, an event where we team up with a Fraternity to put on a musical and raise money for a deserving organization (currently Camp Kesem at Carnegie Mellon - campkesem.org/carnegiemellon). DGs volunteer weekly at the local Shadyside Nursing Home and hold annual fundraisers, Anchor Splash and Anchor Slam, to raise money for our national philanthropy, Service for Sight. Last year, our chapter dedicated 1,778 hours of community service work and raised over $4,800 for our national philanthropy. In addition, this year we raised almost $21,000 for Camp Kesem.
Our sisters are involved all over campus in a number of organizations and academic positions. We are motivated by our scholarship values, and we make the greatest effort to support our sisters so that Delta Gamma can be a tool for success in our professional and educational goals. We also have amazing network of sisters and alumnae working at top companies like Google, Apple, Deloitte, Uber, Facebook, IBM, just to name a few!
Overall, we are an organization that has created enduring friendships, a support system that spans across the globe, and a home away from home. We have embraced our talents and our differences to great a diverse group of empowered and authentic women at Carnegie Mellon.
I am proud to be part of this chapter of women who inspire me on a daily basis with their dedication, intelligence, and pure goofiness.
If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out to me!
All the Best,
Delta Gamma - Beta Nu President 2018
